I'm Lizzie Cook, sole creator of Fenton Fox swimwear. This line is totally inspired by the culture and feel of the 70's and 80's, with current-day practices always in mind.
Fenton Foxes are made lovingly by hand on the mean streets of Chicago. Just kidding, we sew indoors. We're a super tiny independent company--for now it's only me, with two or three insanely talented stitchers helping when I get slammed. We keep a super low inventory, and usually the suits are made-to-order by hand, in sizes XS-XXL. We use fabrics with the highest ethical integrity--most of them are made out of recycled plastic bottles at Italian mills (for real plastic bottles, and the fabric rules!), and pretty much all others are remnants, or vintage, to make sure we do our part to keep plastics out of the landfill. Our fabric scraps get recycled to ensure they have an exciting future as something else.
As paramount as designing around our slow fashion model is, smoking hot, righteous looks are our main objective. Being a tiny company means we can add new designs throughout the year, take suggestions from our customers, and even make custom projects sometimes(inquire within!). I try to keep the manufacturing as local as possible--production, talent hires, sourcing, and distribution mean a timeline that maintains quality control and timelessness. Your purchase initiates the production of your new suit, which means it's 3-4 weeks before delivery. A long time to hold your breath, but we know you can do it!
We hope you have some most excellent adventures in your Fenton Fox!
